Liam Gilchrist

Team lead Liam graduated from the University of Sunderland with an Honours degree in English, before then going on to obtain a PGCE in English teaching from Durham University. He also holds a Master’s degree in Psychology from the University of Sunderland. Liam spent the majority of his career as a secondary school teacher in England, teaching subjects across the curriculum, before he joined the team of Translavic (now ElaN Languages). He also has experience in guidance and counselling, and briefly took up freelance journalism alongside his teaching. Liam’s native language is English, but he is learning Dutch and plans to learn German as well. In his spare time, Liam indulges in his passion for football, which he believes can transcend language and cultural differences.
