Gedichtendag vandaag. Het inspireerde onze revisor Tim Cunningham tot dit sterke staaltje poëzie richting collega’s. Le nouveau Shakespeare est arrivé. :-)
 

Dear colleagues,

Whether at home or at the office,
Answering calls or stressing out over a deadline,
I only hope that on a day like this,
You find the time to enjoy a simple rhyme,

The iambic pentameter or a poetic pun,
An alliteration or a majestic metaphor,
Referencing both winter and sun,
Pointing at future times or the days of yore.

So today, see a customer’s complaint
As a beautiful ode to imperfection,
Every brief remark an exercise in restraint,
A second-chance circumstance to satisfaction
And a happy client? An ode to greatness!
A sonnet of exalted beauty
Wear it like a crown, out to impress -
