ElaN Languages joins forces with French investor Andera Partners
ElaN Languages is bringing the French investor Andera Partners on board as a shareholder. The language agency is giving its growth ambitions a considerable boost with this move. CEO Robrecht Beliën states, “We want to quadruple our turnover from 20 to 80 million euros within the next decade.”
Since its foundation in 1990, ElaN has grown into a leading player in the translation market. Robrecht Beliën confirms this, “We are the largest player in the translation sector in the Benelux. Globally, we are between 60th and 70th place. Our ambition is to make it into the top thirty within ten years.”
European growth through acquisitions
ElaN Languages has already experienced considerable growth in recent years, partly due to the acquisition of two Dutch translation agencies. “In addition, we expanded our offer to include voice-over, subtitling, and (SEO) copywriting. We also went fully digital. Our clients get an answer to all their language questions online in the blink of an eye. This is very much appreciated.”
“We can accelerate our growth rate by joining forces with the French investment company Andera Partners. ElaN is mainly aiming at acquisitions in the Benelux and France, but is also looking at both southern and northern Europe,” says Beliën. Andera acquired a majority stake in the company and will take over the shares from Flemish investor Tilleghem and a number of private individuals.
