Paulina graduated with a Master of Arts degree in English and a Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Protection, combining two of her main areas of interest: languages and taking care of the environment. She has extensive experience in project management, translation and proofreading. Before joining Translavic (now ElaN Languages), she gained her experience in a patent law firm where she monitored the procedure of validating European patents in Poland and coordinated and participated in the translation and verification process. As a freelancer she specialized in translating patent specifications, which she juxtaposed with proofreading novels, short stories and articles for magazines.
She is an avid reader of Tolkien's works, both the novels and the materials on the creation of constructed languages, which was the subject of her master's thesis. She speaks Polish and English fluently and has a basic knowledge of Spanish and Norwegian.
During the warmer months, you can find Paulina in her garden, watering, weeding and pruning. In the winter, she spends her free time playing board games and practicing yoga.
